Dennis Disbrow
Vice President
Dennis began his career in the insurance industry in 1974, and specializes in commercial and professional liability lines. He attended the University of South Dakota, served in the U.S. Navy, and graduated from Northern State University in 1975. He has served on numerous boards in the Aberdeen community.
Thomas Seyer, CIC, CRM
Managing Member and Vice President
Tom joined RhodesAnderson in 1991 and is currently its Managing Member responsible for oversight of day to day operations, strategic planning, personnel, and implementation of agency initiatives.
Tom graduated Northern State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Tom holds designations as both a CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) and CRM (Certified Risk Manager).
With over twenty five years of experience in the field of insurance and risk management, Tom has the background and expertise to provide customers with a wide array of insurance and risk transfer options.
Tom has been active on the State level serving as President of the former Professional Insurance Agents of SD and as a Director with the Independent Insurance Agents of SD. Tom is also very active in the Aberdeen Community serving on a number of non-profit boards.
Justin Kiesz, CIC
Member and Vice President
Justin has worked in the insurance field for more than fifteen years, specializing in Ag related risks. He has a strong background in commercial, personal, and life & health insurance. A 1998 graduate of South Dakota State University, Justin has obtained the designation of CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor).
Mark Gederos
Member and Commercial and Personal Insurance Specialist
After graduating from Northern State University, Mark went to work with his father Jim, a captive agent for 30 years. Over the next 12 years Mark specialized in personal lines products such as home, auto, life and health. Mark joined RhodesAnderson Insurance in 2013 following his father’s retirement.
Mark’s primary focus consists of commercial risks such as supermarkets, hotel/motel, convenience stores and contractors. That being said, Mark is able to assist you with all your insurance needs regarding any personal and commercial products offered today. Mark continues to educate himself and gain valuable industry knowledge while currently pursuing his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation.
Lee Kessler
Member and Commercial and Personal Insurance Specialist
Lee is a licensed insurance professional passionate about loss control and helping individuals and businesses make insurance simple. As an account executive, he is responsible for customizing insurance programs for businesses large and small across many diverse industries, nationally.
As a 2009 graduate of Northern State University, Lee remains heavily involved in the Aberdeen community. When he is not working, you will find Lee with his family and friends enjoying the outdoors as much as possible.
Katherine Amdahl
Account Manager
Katherine is a 2017 graduate of Northern State University, she majored in Finance with minors in Banking and Financial Services and Agribusiness. Katherine has over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry. Katherine primarily works with commercial insurance and assists with farm insurance. She is currently pursuing her CISR designation. (Certified Insurance Service Representative) Katherine’s passion for insurance stems from her desire to protect people and their property.
Andrea Baker, CISR
Account Manager
Andrea started in the insurance industry working for her dad while in high school. Several years later, became licensed while working for another agency until moving to RhodesAnderson in 2003. Andrea has obtained the designation of CISR. (Certified Insurance Service Representative)
Tabitha Cantalope
Account Manager
Tabitha is a native of Eureka, SD, and a 2010 Consumer Affairs graduate of South Dakota State University. After engaging in other career opportunities, in March of 2022 Tabitha decided to pursue a career in insurance with RhodesAnderson. As an Account Manager for RhodesAnderson, Tabitha takes a leading role between clients and agency producers to provide an enhanced customer experience.
Aleigha Howell
Account Manager
Aleigha is originally from Columbia, SD, she graduated from South Dakota State University in 2021 with bachelor’s degrees in animal science and agricultural sciences. She joined the insurance industry in June 2022 and joined the RhodesAnderson team in March 2023. Aleigha uses her education and background in agriculture to service and expand the agency’s commercial ag and farm cliental.
Michele White
Account Manager
Michele was introduced to commercial insurance during her time working in hospitality. In January 2023, the opportunity to join the RhodesAnderson team presented itself and Michele decided to pursue a career in the insurance industry. Michele’s desire to learn and continue growing as an Account Manager, as well as her attention to detail and customer service skills, are valuable assets for our clients and agency producers.
Cristy Bunt
Account Manager
Cristy is a graduate of the University of South Dakota. Prior to joining RhodesAnderson, she had a fifteen-year tenure of leadership experience within the non-profit and hospitality industries. She has been nationally recognized for her customer-centric approach to conducting business throughout her career. She primarily works with commercial insurance opportunities.
Rita Schile, CISR
Account Manager
Rita began her career in the insurance industry in 1985 in Huron, SD. In 1988, Rita moved to Aberdeen where she has since continued to work within insurance at RhodesAnderson Insurance. Rita primarily works with personal lines and also assists with commercial property, bonds and liability insurance including professional liability.
Kathy Keller
Administrative Support
Kathy has been in the insurance industry since 1965. She has experience in writing personal lines, umbrellas, and homeowner and auto policies. Kathy is a lifelong Aberdeen resident and has two grown children, two step-sons, four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. She has been involved in the Aberdeen Hockey Association and served on the Board of Directors for many years. Kathy has camped at Wylie Park for over 10 years and has also spearheaded a parade through Wylie for the 4th of July.
